One Good Lookin' Bunch

Brandon's assistant, Melissa, got married today.  It's rare that you see our family all dressed up since Brandon always wears scrubs or pjs;)  We could have just worn jeans, a button up shirt, and a cowboy hat or baseball cap like half of the guests there, but we decided to get fancy.  Gotta love a people-watching at a small-town wedding!

Pre-Birthday Weekend

Apparently Brandon told my friend Rena when he was working on her teeth last Monday that this Monday (today) is my birthday.  She collaborated with my friend Leah, who called me on Wednesday to tell me they were throwing me a last minute birthday party on Friday.  It was a girl's night in at Leah's where we gave ourselves pedicures and ate too many desserts.  Carrie came too and Cherolyn stopped by as well.  I have such awesome friends here!

Saturday morning I woke up with some kind of stomach bug.  I was pretty miserable the whole day but that didn't stop me from going camping.  We haven't once gone camping with our kids this summer and I wasn't going to let the summer slip away without a family campout.  So we packed up our tent and sleeping bags and drove up American Fork canyon to a really gorgeous campground with Alan, Linda, their airstream trailer, and their dog Cody.

The Last of Arizona

Monday night we slept over at my mom's house again.  Tuesday morning we just hung out with Nana.  Tuesday afternoon my mom and I went and got pedicures.  Tuesday evening we took pizza over to Robin's house and did dinner, swimming, and a sleepover there.

Wednesday morning we had a playdate at my cousin Abbie's house with cousin Steph, sisters Robin & Karen, and my grandma Donna.  It was lovely.

Then we went and had lunch at Mom's house, said goodbye to Sarah.  Mom decided the day before that she would accompany us to Utah so we threw her stuff in the car and put her behind the wheel and headed home.

Last Friday

Last Friday Robin, her three youngest, my cousin Jill & her daughter Jordan, my cousin Macey and her three, and me and my two kids all met up for a playdate at an awesome splash park in Tempe.  We brought a picnic of Ned's Krazy Subs and had a blast.
